TFC @ NER April 9th - USector West End viewing @ Firkin on the Bay

22 posts in this topic

Hello west-end U-people:

TFC plays NER away Saturday April 9th @4pm.

The TTC has a scheduled shutdown of the Bloor line between Jane and Bathurst stations all weekend, so it will be a pain in the ass for many of us to get anywhere Dukeish.

The Firkin on the Bay has a lovely view, and by my understanding a sizeable handful of us live either right around it, or within a 10-minute bike/streetcar ride.

Seems to me the rest writes itself. Thoughts?

(n.b.: when I say U-Sector west end I mean U-Sector in the west chunk of Toronto (between the Humber and the 427), not U-Sector Calgary or wherever Vlad and Swiss and them live)

Yeah - unless you're familiar with Humber Bay as a neighbourhood (which not a lot are since the name is about 10 years old and coined by developers) it can be confusing.

So that nobody ends up in the financial district, a link to the Google:

I'm in depending on USIL, the playoffs will be in full swing so depending on who's playing might not be able to make it.

Time to move back to the City!

It's funny, when we went out to Hamilton last summer to watch the CWNT play, I believe Rudi commented on how it felt like we were driving into Mordor.

Hey, at least the harbour doesn't catch on fire any more.

This thread, like many other things, got U-Sectored.

Cool! If you're coming out on the queen car, it's about a 5 minute walk south of the humber loop.

It was a fair request given the circumstances and I was in no position to argue :P

I think we will probably come by the FOTB for the game, sounds nice and I like checking out new places!
