Round two against the Vancouver Whitecaps goes Saturday in the Nutrilite Canadian Championship final, after a 1-0 MLS win in round one on Wednesday night.
The real “round one” of this match took place way back in May, when TFC stole a late 1-1 draw, and came away ahead on aggregate. With a plethora of injuries and a pissed off Whitecaps side, the task is a tough one for TFC.

The thing is, RioTinto Stadium ain’t as intimidating as it was even a couple of months ago.
Real Salt Lake are clearly a bit lost as a team right now, and coming off a mid-week game they may be ripe for the picking. Of course, this being TFC on the road, the best we can hope for is a well-earned draw or a blowout loss.
Go Reds!

Yes, they were all draws, but somehow TFC have managed to ring off a three-game undefeated streak heading into Saturday’s match with Seattle at BMO Field.

Toronto goes for their third consecutive Voyageurs Cup on Wednesday, having tied Vancouver 1-1 in last week’s first leg.
With the away goal advantage, TFC will look to limit the Whitecaps to yet another runners-up medal by winning the trophy on home turf for the fist time. It won’t be easy, as Toronto’s players have been played into the ground while Vancouver have had the luxury of a week off (that’s after resting several key starters in anticipation of last week’s affair).
Will they do it? Will TFC win the Cup in front of their own fans for the first time?

Toronto gets their chance to nullify the awful memories of the season opener when they travel to Vancouver to take on the Whitecaps in the first leg of the Voyageurs Cup final.
Both teams are struggling, but the loud chatter from the West Coast about how much “better” the ‘Caps are than TFC has quieted down to a whisper in recent weeks.
With a win at Empire Field on Wednesday, TFC can shut down that chatter completely.

The Chicago Fire are in town Saturday, just in time to help commemorate TFC’s first ever goal almost exactly four years ago.
The good thing is that they are also crap in the present day, meaning that Toronto have a legitimate chance to pull down a crucial three points after being robbed in the midweek at Dallas.
Will the sour taste of the north Texas loss be erased on what could be a rainy day at the Lakeshore?

A week after the debacle in Seattle, and suddenly TFC are on a two-game winning streak.
An easy 1-0 victory over FC Edmonton to cruise to the Nutrilite Canadian Championship final, and a hard-fought (but thoroughly deserved) 2-1 win over Houston in league play sees the Reds in good spirits heading into the heart of Texas against a…

For as bad as TFC looked in their 3-0 away loss at Seattle this past weekend, FC Edmonton has look far worse over the past seven days.
A 3-0 dismantling by Toronto was followed up by an even more embarrassing 5-0 loss to the Montreal Impact in league play for the Edmonton side, the two games representing FCE’s “home openers” and introduction to their fans.
As much as Edmonton should love the fact that they are able to get away from the scene of their failures over the past week, TFC has to be overjoyed to be returning home after their shameful performance on the West Coast. With a three-goal aggregate lead and an opponent that makes Toronto FC look like FC Barcelona, the Reds will be looking forward to erasing their shame by putting the boots to their hapless Albertan cousins.
